Sold Our Last Buck

Fireball, our moonspotted handsome fella, went to his new home last night. He has sired as many as I want him to here at Wheaton Mountain Dairy Goats. Two years of service as our herdsire, free ranging the forest, and gobbling down tasty treats made for a good life. His new goat mama is experienced and already has breeding plans for him.

Fireball will be missed. We will no longer keep any bucks here for breeding. We will only lease bucks during the rut. This will be less work than trying to keep them separated. The entire herd will get to free range daily instead of every-other-day. All future bucks will be wethered (castrated) and sold to pet homes unless ordered ahead to keep intact.
